Mathematics is one of the fields of study that exist at all levels of
education, starting from elementary school to college. In the process of learning
mathematics demanded the liveliness and cooperation of students to deepen the
material that has been studied. Students must also be more active in obtaining
more information, so students can understand the material as best as possible
because learning will be more successful if the students themselves do it.
Based in the observation of the author on Monday, September 2, 2017 in
class Va in SDN 15 Sungai Geringging, it seems that mathematics learning has
not been carried out optimally. Even thought at the time of learning the teacher
had held a discussion but the discussioin had not gone well. This is because at the
time of implemetation of discussion the teacher tended to use the lecture method
and only focused in front of the class, causing students to be bored and bored. In
accordance with these problems the author conducted a study on mathematics
learning type think pair share and the comic media on the mathematics learning
outcomes of students of class V SDN 15 Sungai Geringging.
This type of research is experimental research. The population of this
study were all fifth grade students of SDN 15 Sungai Geringging, amounting to 50
people. Which is divided into two categories, namely class Va and Vb. While the
sampling taking in this study was carried out using total sampling techninque.The
Va class is obtained as the experimental class and Vb is the control class. The data
analyzed in this study is the result of mathematics learning in the cognitive
domain that is collected through objective tes.
The results of data analysis by testing hypotheses using the t-test
obtainedt
count = 4.31 and ttable
= 1.68. H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected which
means that learning by applying cooperative learning of think pair share type and
comic media is better than using conventional learning.
Based on data, it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes
of class V SDN 15 Sungai Geringging that apply cooperative learning model type
think pair share and comic media is better than learning hasik that conveys conv.
