Susanto (2014: 225), Citizenship Education is a subject that is used as a
vehicle to develop and preserve noble and moral values rooted in Indonesian
culture. Teachers in the education system play an important role in improving the
quality of education. The use of the Jigsaw Cooperative model is intended to
improve learning outcomes better and involve the active role of stu dents to find
their own knowledge, discussing to compile questions, answer questions and
express opinions.
The population in this study were all students in grade V SDN 08 Enam
Lingkung totaling 39 people. The sample of this study uses two classes:
experimental class and control class. For sampling this study uses Simple random
sampling technique. The type of data used in this study is quantitative data. The
instrument used in this study is a test of learning outcomes. The final test is given
in the form of 20 objective questions that are adjusted to the learning material.
The final test questions given were tested first on the non-sample class in the
study and analysis of the items was done using the validity of the test, the
difficulty index of the problem, the distinguishing power of the problem and
continued with the reliability of the test.
Learning outcomes can be determined through the final tests given to
students during the study. The lessons are given to the two sample classes with
different treatments. In the experimental classroom learning was conducted using
the Jigsaw Cooperative model and in the control class using conventional
learning. This can be seen from the average of experimental class learning
outcomes 83,75 higher than control class 71,05. The result of hypothesis test by
using t-test is done then obtained by price tcount>ttable, where 3,607>2,026 thus
H1accepted that there is influence of model Cooperative of Jigsaw to result of
civic education learning of class V student of SDN 08 Enam Lingkung Kabupaten
Padang Pariaman.
Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded
that there is an effect of using the Jigsaw Cooperative model on the learning
outcomes of class V students on cognitive aspects in SDN 08 Enam Lingkung,
Padang Pariaman Regency. PKn learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN
08 Enam Lingkung, Padang Pariaman Regency who use the Jigsaw Cooperative
model are better than the Civics learning outcomes of students who use
conventional learning.
