This research was motivated by the lack students learning outcomes of science of
grade V SD Negeri 05 Petok. learning process that teacher used still teacher-centered, the
lack of used of learning media, students' attention to learning still low so that affects
student learning outcomes. The low of student learning outcomes require teachers to
improve the learning process, one way by apply Examples non Examples learning models.
This study aims to determine the effect of Examples non Examples learning models on
science learning outcomes of fifth grade students of Petok Pasaman Elementary School 05,
which seen at the cognitive aspects of knowledge and understand.
The type of research is experimental research. The population of this study was the
fifth grade students of SDN 05 Petok Panti District Pasaman Regency with 55 student with
a sample of all students. Data sampling was carried out used a random sampling technique.
The selection of the experimental class and the control class was done randomly, so the
class VA was obtained as the experiment and the class VB was the control. The instrument
used to collect the data student learning outcomes with multiple choice test types. It was
found that there were 32 valid questions from 40 total questions and the reliability index of
this test was 0.882 which meant that the instrument was very reliable.
This test used normality test and homogeneity test of each method of kolmogorovSmirnov method which the same as the liliefors method and homogeneity using the same
levene as barllet. This test shows that the data is normal and homogeneous so that the
hypothesis test used the T-test. The results of this test are t count> t table 3.523> 2,000 with
= 0.05, which means that Ho is rejected. So that HI was accepted, that there were
differences in the application of Examples non Examples learning models for student
learning outcomes of science learning, class V SDN 05 Petok, Panti District Pasaman
Regency.
In line with the found of this study as discussed above, it was can be concluded that
students who get good learning, if the teacher used many variations of learning models.
