The learning process can be followed well and attract students' attention when using
learning methods that are in accordance with the level of student development and in
accordance with the learning material. Therefore, the learning of mathematics to enhance
the knowledge of students in thinking logically, rationally , critical, carefully , effective, and
efficient. Based on observations made in class V SDN 03 Binuang Kampung Dalam, it was
found that learning was still going in one direction and was monotonous. When the teacher
explains the lesson there are still students who do not pay attention, so students are more
passive and there is rarely feedback from students . Therefore, one solution to improve
student learning outcomes is by using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning
approach .
The type of research used was an experimental study with the population of the
study were all students in grade V SDN 03 Binuang Kampung Dalam as many as 58 people
divided into two classes, namely VA class 28 people and VB 30 people. The sample in this
study was done by using the Total Sampling technique , so that the VA class is obtained as
the control class and the VB class is the experimental class.
Student creativity in class V SDN 03 Binuang Kampung Dalan during the
implementation of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach experienced an
increase in the average creativity at the first meeting, 44.12%. The second meeting
increased by 55.82%, the third meeting was 56.65%, and the fourth increased by 65.05%.
The results of data analysis by testing the hypothesis using the t-test obtained t count

Education (RME) have an effect on creativity and student learning outcomes class VSD N
03 Binuang Kampung Dalam.
Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there is an application of
the approach Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) on student creativity and learning
outcomes. . For this reason, it is recommended for class teachers to learn mathematics to be
able to apply the Realistic approach Mathematics Education (RME) .
