PENINGKATAN PARTISIPASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA MELALUI STRATEGI MASTERY LEARNING PADA SISWAKELAS V SDN 02 TARATAK TENGAH KABUPATEN PESISIR SELATAN

Abstrak

The problem in this research contents is about the low of students participation in teaching learning process. The aim of this research is to describe improving of students participation and students score in Natural Science teaching learning by using Mastery Learning Strategy. This research is done by two cycles which is each of cycle have three meetings. The kind of this research is classroom action research which the subject is the students V grades of SDN 02 Taratak Tengah Pesisir Selatan with total number of students 21. The research intsrument that had been use are the observation sheet for observation the learning activity of teacher and students participation, and also score of students’s test. Based on the result, gained average of study result at first cycle in asking question 47.62%, answering question 76,19%, and discussion 88.09%. The students’ learning total percentage of Natural Science at the first cycle is 52.38% being 85.71% at second cycle. It means, the indicator target in this research is reached and teaching learning process run well by using Mastery Learning Strategy. Based on the result, the researcher concludes that teaching learning process of Natural Science by using Mastery Learning Strategy can improve student’s participation and students score at V grade of SDN 02 Taratak Tengah Pesisir Selatan. Based on conclusion above, the researcher hope the teacher can apply Mastery Learning Strategy in teaching learning of Natural Science.
