PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS SISWA KELAS IV DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MODEL THINK PAIR SHARE SDN 14 MDIAK LOLO SOLOK SELATAN

Abstrak

The background of the research was the low of students’ achivement in Social Science, in the process of teaching and learning, the teacher tended to use conventional method in this case lecture method so that it was not applied between the suitable method in teaching and learning process with the purpose of learning purpose so that it affected to the students’ achievement.The formulation of the problem was how is improvement of students’ achievement at class IV in Social Science by using Think Pair Share model (TPS) at SDN 14 Mudiak Lolo Kecamatan Sungai Pagu Kabupaten Solok Selatan. The purpose of the research was to describe the improvement of students’ Achiviement at class IV in Social Science by using cooperative model Think Pair Share type at SDN 14 Mudiak Lolo Solok Selatan. The type of the research was Class Action Research. This research was done by 2 cycles, each cycle consist of 2 meetings. The subject of the research was students at class IB which were 16 students. The instrument of the research used was the students’ score of the test, observation sheet of students’ learning process, observation sheet of the teacher activity, and field note. Based on the result of the test in cycle 1 the mean score was 56,25%, but in cycle 2 it increased to be 87,5%. Finally, the writer suggest the teacher to use this Think Pair Share (TPS) to improve students’ achivement.
