THE IMPROVEMENT STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENT IN SAINS SUBJECT BY USING QUANTUM TEACHING METHOD STUDY AT SDN 20 BARIANG RAO-RAO KECAMATAN SUNGAI PAGU KABUPATEN SOLOK SELATAN.
Abstrak
The background of this research is that the learning process which has not been run based on expectation. The researcher has not used the appropriate method with the material in the process of learning. The teacher still used speech method, so that it cause lack of motivation and the achievement of the students is under the KKM. The purpose of this research is to increase the result of students’ study in science subject at class V SDN 20 Bariang Rao-Rao by using quantum teaching method.
This research is action research. This research done in SDN 20 Bariang Rao-Rao. The subject of this research is the students in grade V with the number 18 students. This research done in two circle.
The finding of this research shows that quantum teaching method can increase students achievement in learning science. The improvement can be seen from mean score of the result learning process. (1) cognitive circle 1 61.39 increase into 74.44 in circle II, with the increasing 13.06. (2) affective circle I 66.97% increase to 79.11% in circle II with the increasing 12.08%. (3) psychomotor circle I 65.08% increase to 79.31%. in circle II with the increasing 14.22%.
Based on this research and the finding above, it can be concluded that quantum teaching method can increase the students achievement in learning process in SDN 20 Bariang Rao-Rao at class V. this method also can be used as one of the alternative to teach students in science subject in elementary school.
