SKILLS ENHANCEMENT USING NARRATIVE essay writing ENVIRONMENT AS RESOURCES IN CLASS IV SDN 24 TANJUNG LOLO
Abstrak
Based on the experience of the researcher teaching fourth grade at SDN 24 Tanjung Lolo, narrative essay writing skills of students is still low. Students find and difficult ideas, sentences not well ordered, there are many spelling mistakes usage, so, there are still many students who have not reached the value of KKM. The purpose of research is to improve students' ability to write a narrative essay. This study uses the environment as a learning resource. Environment as a learning resource can be defined as everything that is around or around students (the other living beings, inanimate objects, and human culture) that can be used to support learning activities and learning more optimally. This study uses classroom action research. This study was conducted during two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings with implementing the use of the environment as a learning resource. Subjects of this study were fourth grade students of SDN 24 Tanjung Lolo. Her research instrument is the observation sheet activities of teachers and students as well as the achievement test. The results show, that by using the environment as a learning resource to improve student learning outcomes. In the first cycle, the average student value of 7.7, while the second cycle of the average student value increased to 8.3. Thus, the use of the environment as a source of learning can improve students' ability to write a narrative essay.
