PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI DAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS MELALUI MODEL COOPERATIVE INTEGRATE READING AND COMPOSITION (CIRC) PADA SISWA KELAS IV SD NEGERI 20 KURAO PAGANG PADANG
Abstrak
The background of this research is the lack in student’s motivation and writing skill of IV grades student. In learning process, teacher tends to use speech method, so those students become passive. Therefore, researcher proposes a solution that is implementation of Cooperative Integrate Reading and Composition (CIRC) model. The purpose of this research is to describe the increasing of student’s motivation and writing skill by CIRC model in IV class SDN 20 Kurao Pagang Padang. this research is class measuring research with two cycles; each cycle consist of planning, implementation, obseration, and reflectionn. Subject in this research is 21 students. Instrument of this research is observation sheets of teacher’s activity, observation sheets of student’s activity, and learning outcomes. Results show that there an increasing in student’s motivation in each cycle. In first cycle, percentage of student’s motivation in questioning is 54% rise into 78% in second cycles. Percentage of student’s writing skill is increasing from 78% in first cycle into 88% in second cycles. Increasing in student’s writing skill leads has an impact on learning completeness that is 61% in first cycle rise into 85% in second cycles. Based on results, it can be conclude that student’s writing skill can be increased by CIRC model. Based on this research, it is suggested that teacher can use CIRC model in writing skill learning as appropriate with the subject matter.
