PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN TALKING STICK PADA SISWA KELAS V SDN 17 SAPAN KECAMATAN BATANG KAPAS

Abstrak

This research is motivated by the lack of motivation and classroom science learning outcomes SDN 17 Sapan. This study aimed to describe the increase in students' motivation and learning outcomes in science teaching with models Talking Stick in SDN 17 Batang Kapas Sapan District. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which held in the second semester of the school year 2012/2013 in SDN 17 Batang Kapas Sapan District South Coastal District. Subjects were 17 fifth grade students of SDN Sapan South Coastal District, amounting to 16 students. The study consisted of two cycles of meetings held twice each cycle. Research procedure consisted of four stages, namely (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The results showed an increase in student motivation first cycle first meeting 68.8% and 75% meeting II. Cycle II meetings and meetings I 81.3% 87.5% II. Average student learning outcomes first cycle and second cycle 75.3 69.9. Implementation of the learning process of teachers also increased from 75 (first cycle) to 85 (second cycle). This means that the implementation of learning science using learning models talking stick goes well. Based on the results of this study concluded that the use of talking stick learning model to improve learning outcomes in science learning in class V Sapan District SDN 17 Batang Kapas South Coastal District. The result is expected to be useful for teachers and readers in order to improve student learning outcomes in the classroom, while the students can be trained to socialize with friends.
