Media Development for Game Snakes and Ladders in Mathematics Subjects for Class IV Angle Measurement Material at SDN 47 Korong Gadang
Abstrak
This study aims to produce snakes and ladders media products on mathematics subjects in material measurement of class IV SDN 47 Korong Gadang which is valid, practical and effective. This research was conducted because the concrete media used by the teacher had not been able to attract students' interest in learning. According Arsyad (2013: 29) "learning media can increase and direct children's attention so that it can lead to motivation to learn, more direct interaction between students and their environment, and the possibility of students to learn on their own according to their abilities and interests".
This Research and Development Design involves several development processes which are valid, practical and effective from the media developed. The instruments of this study were questionnaires and tests. Validity test based on validator 1 questionnaire as media expert and questionnaire validator 2 and 3 as material experts. Practical test based on teacher and student practical questionnaires. Test effectiveness based on cognitive learning outcomes tests. The data analysis technique is a combination of quantitative and qualitative descriptive.
Based on the analysis of the data obtained conclusions are as follows: (1) Media snake ladder game declared valid by the media expert validator and material experts with a percentage score of 89%. (2) The snake ladder game media is stated to be very practical by teachers and students with a percentage score of 94%. (3) The media of snakes and ladders is declared effective based on the test of student learning outcomes with a score percentage of 90%.
The results of the analysis of validity, practicality and effectiveness show that the Game Media of Ladder Snakes in Mathematics Subjects of Class IV Angle Measurement Material SDN 47 Korong Gadang is valid, practical and effective for use by teachers and students as learning media in grade IV elementary school.
