Development of Media Game of Smart Wheels in the EyesMathematics Lesson Material Build Class V Vocational School 47 Korong Gadang
Abstrak
This development research aims to produce learning media in the form of smart wheel games that are valid, practical, and effective to be used for mathematics learning in building material for class V students at SD Negeri 47 Korong Gadang. This research was conducted because there was no available media game that could provide students with an understanding of concepts. According to Wahyuni (in khairunnisa, 2017: 21) states that "Smart wheel media is a media in the form of wheels that can be rotated and divided into several sectors / parts in which there are question cards".
This type of research is development research (R & D) according to Borg and Gall. The research was carried out through several steps, the steps used were used to see the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the smart wheel game media. The validation test of smart wheel media products is based on the results of the assessment of media experts and material experts. The practicality test of the smart wheel game media is based on the results of the assessment of teachers and fifth grade students of SD Negeri 47 Korong Gadang. Test the effectiveness of smart wheel games obtained from learning outcomes tests. The type of data used in this study is a combination of descriptive and qualitative. Data obtained from the results of the assessment of validity questionnaires, practical questionnaires and learning outcomes tests.
Based on the analysis of validity tests conducted by media experts and material experts, it was found that the smart wheel game media can be said to be valid with a percentage of 88.65%. From the validity test results, the smart wheel play media is said to be valid for use in learning. The results of the practicality tests conducted by teachers and students, it was found that the smart wheel playing media can be said to be very practical with a percentage of 96.62%. From the results of practicality tests, this means that the smart wheel media is practically used in learning. Meanwhile, the results of the effectiveness test in the form of learning outcomes tests given after students use smart wheels, can be said to be very good with a percentage of 88.50%. This means that the smart wheel media is effectively used to improve student learning outcomes.
The results of validation, practicality, and effectiveness analysis show that mathematics learning in building material using smart wheel media is valid, practical, and effective for fifth grade students.
