Development of Student Worksheets Based on Realistic Mathematics Education on Mathematics Learning Material for Cube and Beam Volumes for Class V Students at SD Negeri 55 Air Pacah

Abstrak

This study aims to produce Student Worksheets based on Realistic Mathematics Education on cube and beam volume material for fifth grade students of SD N 55 Air Pacah.This research was carried out because the learning process in schools had not yet begun with concept discovery activities that made students only able to use mathematical formulas without knowing why the formula was used so that there was a need for learning resources to help students find concepts namely by using Student Worksheets.According to Munandar (2015: 29) the design of a good Student Worksheet is needed to achieve a learning process that encourages students to play an active role.

This type of research uses research or development (R & D) research.The subjects of the trial in this study were the fifth grade students of SD N 55 Air Pacah totaling 33 people. The type of data in this study is primary data. Primary data in question is data obtained directly from lecturers, teachers and students taken through questionnaires testing validity and practicality and giving test results to students.The primary data, namely (1) the validation score of the lecturer (2) the score of the questionnaire response by the teacher and students (3) the results of student learning tests.

Based on the validation results from 4 validators, Student Worksheets based on Realistic Mathematics Education that have been developed are in the valid category with a percentage of 85.4%.Practical results from teacher and student responses to Student Worksheets are practical with a percentage value of 89.4%.Based on the effectiveness test that has been implemented through cognitive learning outcomes students show good results with a class average of 83.48 and classical completeness of 87.87%.

From these data it can be concluded that Student Worksheets based on Realistic Mathematics Education developed have proven to be valid, practical and effective.So that this Student Worksheet can be applied and used as an alternative teaching material to teach cube and beam volume material.
