This research is classified as descriptive correlation research by looking for product moment correlation tables. The independent variable in this study is learning motivation, while the dependent variable is social studies learning outcomes. The population in this study were all students of SDN 10 Surau Gadang Padang in the 2018/2019 school year consisting of 247 students. The sample in this study were students of class IIIA and IIIB SDN 10 Surau Gadang Padang. The technique in sampling is by purposive sampling. The data taken in this study is the cognitive learning outcomes of students of cognitive domains obtained through student test scores through class teachers. The results showed that the average value is the mean or mean learning motivation of third grade students of SDN 10 Surau Gadang Padang is 75.55 and the average or mean learning outcomes of third grade students of SDN 10 Surau Gadang Padang 73.89. With regard to the size of rxy which is 0.721 the magnitude ranges from 0.600-0.799 means a positive correlation between variables X and Y variables including a strong correlation from the results using a table of r product moment values. Thus because rhit is greater than rtable [r count 0.721 abel rtable 0.294], then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. From these data it can be concluded that there is a significant positive correlation between learning motivation (X) and learning outcomes (Y) at SDN 10 Surau Gadang. It means that it can be concluded that there is a correlation between motivation and learning outcomes of third grade students of SDN 10 Surau Gadang Padang.
