Teacher's Ability in the Implementation of the 2013 Curriculum in Learning Physical and Physical Education in the Public Elementary School of Pulau Punjung Dharmasraya Regency

Abstrak

Mulyasa (2013: 66) suggests the definition of 2013 Curriculum as
competency-based curriculum which is a curriculum concept that emphasizes
character development and the ability to perform (competency) tasks with certain
performance standards. Factors that can influence the curriculum 2013 are: Lack of
readiness and understanding of teachers in planning, implementing, and evaluating
student learning outcomes based on 2013 Curriculum. The researcher intends to
examine Teacher's Ability in the Implementation of 2013 Curriculum on Learning
Physical and Physical Education in Public Elementary Schools Pulau Punjung subdistrict
with the aim to find out how well the implementation of the implementation of
Physical Sports and Health Education learning based on the 2013 curriculum in the
process and also as a means of evaluating the application based on the 2013
curriculum, especially learning Physical and Sports Education.
The population in this study were teachers of Physical and Health
Education in the Public Elementary School of Pulau Punjung Dharmasraya Regency.
Samples were taken by total sampling, namely samples in the form of a population of
26 people. Data is obtained by using a questionnaire that is filled directly by the
respondent by visiting respondents in the elementary school. The instrument in this
study used a questionnaire with answers to scores, namely: "SB", given a score of 5
"S", given a score of 4 "CB", given a score of 3, "KB" was given a score of 2, and
"SKS" was given a score of 1
The results of the study of the teacher's ability in the application of the 2013
curriculum on learning Physical Sports and Health Education in SD Pulau Punjung
Elementary School Dharmasraya District the planning of Learning Physical
Education Sport and Health Curriculum 2013 the ability of teachers is quite good, in
the implementation of Physical Education Sports and Health Curriculum 2013
teacher's ability is quite good, and in the closing activities of learning physical
education sports and health curriculum 2013 teacher's ability is not good enough.
In line with the findings of this study as discussed above, it can be
concluded that the ability of teachers in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum
has gone quite well, it is recommended that teachers still need a lot of learning and
get used to using the 2013 curriculum, by increasing the teaching experience and
arranging the right time for activities evaluation can run well and innovate learning
methods so the application of the 2013 curriculum will run better.
