 Social studies is one of the compulsory subjects given to elementary school. In general, teachers only use conventional learning. Conventional learning meant here is a learning model that is familiar and often used by teachers in the learning process in the classroom. To overcome these problems the researcher will use the Kancing Gemerincing learning model on social studies subjects in the fourth grade of SDNegeri 08 Surau Gadang Padang. Based on this, the researcher was interested in conducting an experimental study entitled "The Effect ofKancing Gemerincing Model on Social Studies Learning Outcomes in Class VIIn SDNegeri 08 Surau Gadang Padang".               This type of research is an experimental study with a "posttest-only control design". The independent variable in this study is the Kancing Gemerincing model and the conventional learning model, while the dependent variable is the social studies learning outcomes. The population in this study were all of students in class VIin SDNegeri 08 Surau Gadang Padang in the 2018/2019 school year consisting of two classes. The sample in this study were students in grade VI.A as many as twenty-six people and VI.B class as many as twenty-six students. The technique in sampling is random sampling. The data taken in this study were students' social studies learning outcomes obtained from the final test in an objective form.                The results showed that the average value of the experimental class was higher than that of the control class (the experimental class averaged 82,26and the control class averaged 74.80). In the statistical test the price of tcount>t(0,05;34) (2.20> 1,67) with the level (α = 0.05), the hypothesis of H1 is accepted.               From these data it can be concluded that the Kancing Gemerincing Model affects the results of social studies learning class VIdi SDNegeri 08 Surau Gadang Padang. Thus the Kancing Gemerincing model is expected to be used in the learning process to give a better influence on student learning outcomes.
