Development of Science Modules with Constructivism Approach on Material Properties of Objects for Class III Students of 10 Surau Gadang Elementary Schools

Abstrak

The background of this study because of the unavailability of teaching materials that can facilitate active learning by students as well as creating students centered learning in a class III Elementary School 10 Surau Gadang. The purpose of this study was to develop teaching materials in the form of science modules with a constructivism approach to material properties for III students of SD Negeri 10 Surau Gadang.

              This study uses a type of Research and Development (R & D) research. The development model used in developing modules with constructivism approaches is a 3-D development model consisting of 3 stages of define, design, and develop. This research was conducted in class III of SD Negeri 10 Surau Gadang.

              Results of the validation performed o l eh validator to get the average value of 93.11% to the category of "very valid". The practical results carried out by the teacher received an average score of 93.12% in the "very practical" category. The results of the practical assessment conducted by students when tested got an average score of 94.80% in the "very practical" category.

              Based on the results of the validity and practicality of the science module with the constructivism approach to material properties for III students of SD Negeri 10 Surau Gadang, it can be used in the learning process. The researcher suggests that the science learning module that has been developed can be used in the learning process as one of the teaching materials for students and teachers.
