PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA SISWA MELALUI MODEL KOOPERATIF TIPE GROUP INVESTIGATION (GI)DI KELAS V SDN II BATANG ANAI PADANG PARIAMAN

Abstrak

This research is motivated by the lack of motivation and learning outcomes IPA Elementary School fifth grade students Batang Anai. Several factors lead to low motivation and learning outcomes are caused by the methods used by teachers still focus on the teacher. The research objective was to describe the use of cooperative learning model type Group Investigation (GI) in increasing student motivation and learning outcomes. This type of research is a classroom action research. Subjects of the study were fifth grade students of SDN II Batang Anai by the number of students 22. Instruments used in the study is the observation sheet aspects of teacher learning, and students, questionnaire motivation, and learning about the test results. Results of data analysis, the number of students motivation of students through questionnaires and observation by the average observer motivation of students through questionnaires in the first cycle increased 68% in the second cycle 87%, student motivation through observations in the first cycle and a 46.5% increase in cycle II 81.5%. Student learning outcomes in science learning through cooperative learning model type Group Investigation (GI) increases. Number of students who have grades above KKM (54.54%) in the first cycle increased to (86.36%) in the second cycle. Average student learning outcomes in the first cycle was 70.86, while in the second cycle increased to 82.68. It can be concluded that the implementation of science teaching with cooperative learning model type Group Investigation (GI) in increasing students' motivation and learning outcomes SDN class II Batang Anai. Based on these results the researchers suggested that teachers use cooperative learning model type Group Investigation (GI) in the process of learning science to enhance students' motivation and learning outcomes.
