Abstrak
Civic education is one of the compulsory subjects given to elementary school. In general, teachers only use conventional learning. Conventional learning meant here is a learning model that is familiar and often used by teachers in the learning process in the classroom. To overcome these problems the researcher will use the Make A Match learning model on civic education subjects in the fourth grade of SDN 08 Surau Gadang. Based on this, the researcher was interested in conducting an experimental study entitled "The Effect of Make A Match Model on civic education Learning Outcomes in Class VI SDN 08 Surau Gadang". This type of research is an experimental study with a "posttest-only control design". The independent variable in this study is the Make A Match model and the conventional learning model, while the dependent variable is the civic education learning outcomes. The population in this study were all of students in class VI SDN 08 Surau Gadang Padang in the 2018/2019 school year consisting of two classes. The sample in this study were students in grade VI.A as many as twenty-one people and VI.B class as many as sixteen students. The technique in sampling is total sampling. The data taken in this study were students' civic education learning outcomes obtained from the final test in an objective form. The results showed that the average value of the experimental class was higher than that of the control class (the experimental class averaged 81.23 and the control class averaged 64.75). In the statistical test the price of tcount > t(0,05;48) (4.07> 2.0106) with the level (α = 0.05), the hypothesis of H1 is accepted. From these data it can be concluded that the Make A Match Model affects the results of civic education learning in class VI SDN 08 Surau Gadang Padang. Thus the Make A Match model is expected to be used in the learning process to give a better influence on student learning outcomes.
