Effect of Team Games Tournament (TGT) Model on Student Learning Outcomes in Class VI SDN 13 Surau Gadang

Abstrak

Pkn is a compulsory subject given at the elementary school level. In general, teachers only use conventional learning. Conventional learning meant here is an ordinary learning model and is often used by teachers in the learning process in the classroom. To overcome this problem the researchers will use the p learning model of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) with Pkn subjects in class VI of SDN 13 Surau Gadang. Based on this, the researcher was interested in conducting an experimental research with the title "The Effect of Application of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) Model on Student Learning Outcomes in Class Vi Sdn 13 Surau Gadang.".This type of research is an experimental study with the design of "posttes-only control design". The independent variables in this study were the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model and conventional learning models, while the dependent variable was the PKn learning outcomes. The population in this study were all sixth grade students of SDN 13 Surau Gadang in the 2017/2018 school year consisting of 2 classes. The sample in this study were students of class VI A as many as 30 students and class VI students. There were 30 students. The technique in sampling is by total sampling. The data taken in this study is the cognitive learning outcomes of PKn students obtained through the final test in an objective form.The results showed that the average value of the experimental class was higher than the control class (experimental class averaged 69.2 and the control class averaged 59.2). In statistical tests the price of tcount> t (0.05; 34) (2.69> 1.70) with a level (α = 0.05), then the hypothesis H1 is accepted.From these data it can be concluded that the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model influences the PKn learning outcomes in class VI of SDN 13 Surau gadang. Thus the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model is expected to be used in the learning process to give a better influence on student learning outcomes.
