Abstrak

This research is motivated by the lack of student learning outcomes at the fourth grade social studies learning. In the learning process teachers tend to use the lecture method. Resulting in lower student learning outcomes, to the researchers propose a solution to implement a model student facilitator and explaining the social studies learning. The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in student learning outcomes in the fourth grade social studies learning through student facilitator and explaining the model in SDN 35 Padang Pagambiran. Subjects in this study were fourth grade students of SDN 35 Padang pagambiran, totaling 40 students. The research instrument used in this study is to use sheets of affective, psychomotor, teacher observation sheet activity and achievement test. Based on the results of this research is student learning outcomes 68.75 first cycle increased to 79.52 in the second cycle, affective aspects of students' first cycle increased 51.25 to 76.25 in the second cycle, 51.25 of students psychomotor aspects of the first cycle increased to 75 in the second cycle. It can be concluded that the IPS learning through student facilitator and explaining the model can be increased in the fourth grade Pagambiran SDN 35 Padang. Based on the results of this study suggest that teachers can apply the model student facilitator and explaining well in learning social studies in accordance with the material being taught.
