Indonesian is learning communication which is a compulsory subject. Indonesian language is directed at increasing students ability to communicate both orally and in writing. In general, teachers only use conventional learning. The conventional learning model that is intended here is a learning model that is common and often used by teachers in the learning process in the classroom. To overcome the above problems the teachers can use the picture and picture learning model on indonesian language subjects in the fifth grade students of SDN 04 Kampung Olo Padang. Based on this, the researcher is interested in conducting experimental research with the title “the application of cooperative learning models type picture and picture to student learning outcomes in Indonesian language subjects at SDN 04 Kampung Olo Padang”.
This type of research is an experimental study with post-test-only control design. The independent variables in this study are the picture and picture learning model and the conventional learning model. While the dependent variable is the result of student learning in Indonesia. The population in this study were all fifth grade students of SDN 04 Kampung Olo Padang in 2018/2019 which consisted of 2 classes. The sample in this study were V-A class students as many as 25 students and V-B class students as many as 26 students. The technique in sampling is by random sampling. The data taken in this study is the Indonesian language learning outcomes of students of the cognitive realm obtained through the final test in an objective form.
The result showed that the average value of the eksperimental class was higher than the control class (the experimental class had an average value of 79,5 and the control class had an average value of 67,2). In statistical tests the price of tcount >t(0,05;34) (3,86> 1,66)with a level (α = 0,05) then the H1 hypothesis is accepted.
From these data it can be concluded that the picture and picture learning model affects the Indonesian language learning outcomes of fifth grade students at Kampung Olo SDN 04 Padang. Thus the picture and picture learning model is expected so that it can be used in the learning process to provide a better influence on student learning outcomes.
