Indonesian Language Acquisition for Special NeedChildren

Abstrak

Language is produced by a spoken instrument that able to use as an oral and written communication tool. Language acquisition obtained from birth to five years old which takes place in the brain of a child when they obtain the first language they hear. Behaviorism linguists say that language acquisition is nature, language acquisition in children who are determined by the natural environment.

 

This research aims to describe the acquisition of Indonesian for children with special needs in Christian Prasetyo which includes verbs, nouns, adjectives. Data analysis techniques in this research are: (1) transcribing recorded data into written form (2) collected data grouped (3) data analyzed based on words in the form of nouns, verbs, according to (4) making overall conclusions on the results of data analysis

 

Based on the data analysisresults founded 41 data, in the form of : nouns found as many as 10 data (2) adjectives, as many as 20 (3) while for verbs as many as 11 data.

 

So, it was concluded that four-year-olds children with special needs experienced language abnormalities that had unclear limitations in speech on sounds that were obtained by consonants or vowels such as alveolar vibration sounds, stop inhibition sounds, front vocal sounds, and back vocal sounds. Consonant r becomes l sound there is alveolar vibrating sound (33 data), c to s consonant is stop sound (3 data), loss of i vowel and e vowel at front vowel sound (3 data), vowel i becomes vowel a back sound ( 2 data). The dominant alveolar vibration sound obtained and the speech provisions change but there is no change in meaning.
