PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKAMELALUI PENDEKATAN OPEN-ENDED PADA SISWA KELAS IV SDN 24 V KOTO KAMPUNG DALAM KABUPATEN PADANG PARIAMAN
Abstrak
This research is motivated by the lack of motivation and learning mathematics fourth grade students at SDN 24 Toboh. This is caused by the process focuses more on rote learning, and look for the right answers to the questions are given, including the higher thought processes are rarely trained to think creatively. One way that can be used to overcome this problem is to use an open-ended approach.The purpose of this study was to improve motivation and learning mathematics through an open-ended approach to the fourth grade students of SDN 24 V Koto Kampung Dalam Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Type of research is a class act. The research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of four meetings. Subjects of this study were fourth grade students of SDN 24 V Koto Kampung Dalam which totaled 15 people. The research instrument used in this study is the observation sheet activities of teachers, motivation questionnaire, and student mathematics achievement test.The results showed that an increase in student motivation from the first cycle increased 58.05% to 74.60% in the second cycle, and mastery of mathematics learning outcomes of students iesiklusi I rose 64.29% to 73.33% in the second cycle. It can be concluded that the motivation and the results of the fourth grade students' mathematics learning can be enhanced through an open-ended approach in SDN 24 V Koto Kampung Dalam.
