PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS BELAJAR SISWA KELAS V DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPS DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE PROBLEM SOLVING DI KELAS V SDN 16 PASAMAN KABUPATEN PASAMAN BARAT
Abstrak
This research is motivated by the lack of activity of students learning social studies fifth grade students of SDN 16 Pasaman Pasaman. Lack of student activity is characterized by the second semester exam results mid Academic Year 2012/2013, only 42.85% of students who pass. One way that can be used to overcome this problem is to use the method of Problem Solving. The purpose of this study is to describe the learning activities of students in the fifth grade social studies learning by using the method of Problem Solving in SDN 16 Pasaman West Pasaman. This type of research is a classroom action research conducted collaboratively. Subjects of this study were fifth grade students of SDN 16 Pasaman, which amounted to 21 people. The research instrument used in this study is the observation of student activity sheets, teacher observation sheet activity and achievement test. Based on the analysis of student activity sheet observations obtained an average percentage in the first cycle was 42.26%. In the second cycle the average percentage of student activity obtained was 84.12%. While the average learning outcomes of student learning outcomes in the first cycle was 64.52, with a percentage of 47.61% mastery learning. While the average of the second cycle of student learning outcomes is 78.09, with a percentage of 85.71% mastery learning. It can be concluded that the IPS study using Problem Solving method can improve students' learning activities.
