PENINGKATAN MINAT DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA SISWA DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PICTURE AND PICTURE DI KELAS V SDN 27 KOTO BARU KABUPATEN PESISIR SELATAN
Abstrak
This research is motivated by low interest in science learning outcomes and fifth grade students of SDN 27 Koto Baru. One of the causes of low student interest is the method used by teachers tend to be conventional. The research objective was to describe the increase in students' interest in asking, express opinions and interests of students in completing the task on time by using the Picture and Picture models for learning science. This type of research is a classroom action research. Subjects of the study were fifth grade students of SDN 27 New Koto by the number of students 20. Instruments used in the study is observational learning format by the teacher, observation format for students, student interest questionnaire, and achievement test. The results of the data analysis, the percentage of students ask 45% interest in the first cycle, increasing to 75% in the second cycle. The percentage of students completing the task interest on time 72.5% in the first cycle, increased to 90%. Percentage interest in 47.5% of students expressing their opinions in the first cycle, increased to 72.5% in the second cycle. Number of students who have grades above KKM (55%) in the first cycle increased to (80%) in the second cycle. It can be concluded that the implementation of the science lesson with Picture and Picture models can improve learning interests and results of fifth grade students of SDN 27 Koto Baru. Based on the results of this study researchers suggest that teachers can use Model Picture And Picture in the process of learning science to increase interest and student learning outcomes.
