Abstrak

The factor that causes of the learning outcomes low is the teacher still dominate students in learning, students ask to their friend rather that teacher, because of they don’t feel afraid each other, and the interactions betwen teacher – studets still less, thus causing a passive learning. One of the efforts to solve this problem is to apply the learning strategy of Mastery Learningwith tutor sebaya. Be expected with the implementation of this strategy can improve the student’s activityand uderstanding in learning, teach studentsto cooperation and discussion, and students can improve their learning outcomes is mathematics. The purpose of this research is to find out the student’s mathematics learning outcomes that used the better than the student’s mathematics outcomes learning with using conventional learning. The type of this research is experimentall research. The data of this research is student’s mathematics learning outcomes obtained with give the test for both sample class. In hyphothesis obtained thitung ttableit means 5,29  1,67. So, the hyphothesis is accepted. Then, the conclution of this hyphothesis is student’s mathematics learning outcomes that used strategy of Mastery Learning with tutor sebaya is better than student’s mathematics learning outcome that used.
