PENERAPAN METODE SURVEY, QUESTION, READ, RECITE AND REVIEW (SQ3R) PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SMK KARTIKA 1-2 PADANG

Abstrak

This research with their lessons are generally focused on the teacher, students participation in the learning process was still low, still shy to ask questions and the lack of students learning outcomes obtained. To solve this problem, one way to do is applying the SQ3R method. Through this method, students can learn to be more active with the guidance of teachers and increase the student participation in the learning process like students read the material, ask, answer questions and repeat material that has been studied, so that existing concepts on the subject can be truly understood. The purpose of this study was to determine whether students' mathematics learning outcomes with using of SQ3R learning method is better than learning outcomes of students learning mathematics using regular learning in class X Accounting SMK Kartika 1-2 paddock. The results got second class normal distribution and homogeneous samples. Then the formula used to test the hypothesis t. After processing the data obtained t = 4.0748 and  = 1.68 at 95% confidence level, so that t>. Thus, the hypothesis is accepted that mathematics learning outcomes of students who are taught by better SQ3R method of learning outcomes of students who apply mathematics learning in class X ordinary Accounting Kartika 1-2 SMK Padang. Based on these results, the authors expect a mathematics teacher can apply the SQ3R method in teaching mathematics to improve students' math learning outcomes.
