PENERAPAN STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN AKTIF TIPE PRACTICE-REHEARSAL PAIRS DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VIII SMPN 2 KOTO BARU KABUPATEN DHARMASRAYA
Abstrak
One of the factors that causes the students get low grades in learning math at class VIII SMPN 2 Koto Baru Dharmasraya is the students are still less active an lack of motivation in learning process. It is because the student did not have handbook to solve the problem one of the strategies that can be used is Practice-rehearsal Pairs strategy. It is aimed to practice a skill or a procedure with classmate and it is supported by students worksheet. This research was aimed to know how the students motivation in learning math at class VIII SMPN 2 Koto Baru Dharmasraya. Whose learning uses Practice-rehearsal Pairs strategy an it is better than students motivation that apply conventional strategy. To know whether the result of students learning that using this strategy is better than the result of students learning that using conventional strategy. Type of this research is eksperimental research. The population was the second years students of SMPN 2 koto Baru Dharmasraya to select the sample the research used random sampling. Instrument used by the research is motivation and result of study. Result of calculating that is found is t arithmetic > t table. According to the explanation above, it could be concluded that the result of learning math after applying this approach by using Practice-rehearsal Pairs strategy is better than conventional method in SMPN 2 koto Baru Dharmasraya class VIII school year 2012/2013.
