PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE NUMBERED HEADS TOGETHER DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS XI IPA SMAN 6 PADANG

Abstrak

One factor contributing to the low percentage of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics is lack of motivation and involvement of the student in following the process of learning mathematics. To improve the state of cooperative learning model applied Numbered Heads Together. The purpose are to know the development of student’s activities by using cooperative learning Numbered Heads Together at grade XI Science SMAN 6 Padang and whether the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics is by using cooperative learning Numbered Heads Together more higher than the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics taught using conventional learning at grade XI Science SMAN 6 Padang. This type of research is experimental research. Population in this research is all of students at grade XI Science SMAN 6 Padang academic year 2012/2013. The sample in this research is a class XI IPA 1 (experimental) and class XI IPA 3 (control). The research’s instrument is the observation sheet and achievement test. Learning activity data obtained from observation sheets, the results obtained by the tendency of increasing student learning activity each meeting. The test results are obtained, analyzed to test the hypothesis using  formula for two independent samples. From the analysis, obtained  and p-value is between  so  means that H1 is accepted. The conclution is the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics taught using cooperative learning Numbered Heads Together is higher than the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics taught using conventional learning.
