The Effect of Application of the Teams Games Tournament Cooperative Learning Model on Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Grade IV SDN 11 Lubuk Buaya Padang students

Abstrak

This research is motivated by the learning process that is still centered by the teacher. The teacher lacks developing a learning model during the learning process. The low student learning outcomes are marked by the fact that there are still students who have not yet reached the KKM. The population in this study is the fourth grade students of SDN 11 Lubuk Buaya Padang
This type of research is experimental research. The population of this study was all students of grade IV SDN 11 Lubuk Buaya Padang which were divided into four classes. The sampling technique in this study was carried out using random sampling techniques. The data to be analyzed in this study are the results of students' mathematics learning collected through objective tests.
The results of the research analysis found that the experimental class had an average learning outcome of 86.34 and that of the control class was 80.35. Hypothesis testing using t-test shows tcount> ttable, with a tcount of 3.706 and a ttable value of 2.015 at a significant level of 0.05 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means there is an influence on student mathematics learning outcomes using the Teams Games Tournament learning model rather than student learning outcomes using conventional methods.
Based on the results of the study concluded that there is an influence on student mathematics learning outcomes using the Teams Games Tournament learning model rather than student learning outcomes using conventional methods.
