The Development of Media-based Puzzle Make a Match in Science Learning of Human Circulatory at Fifth Grade Students in SD Negeri 45 Kalumbuk Padang

Abstrak

Learning Media is a tool that functions as a tool to channel messages used by teachers in teaching and learning. Based on observations at SD 45 Kalumbuk, instructional media is not used to its full potential and the learning process reduces student interest in learning. Media puzzle is one of the few learning media games that can be an alternative to creating an atmosphere of active and fun learning in learning science (Natural Sciences) blood circulation material in humans

               This type of research used in the development of Make A Match-based Media Puzzle is research and development (R&D). The research model used in this study is the ADDIE model which is modified into ADDI, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation. Before the media is implemented or a trial in class V SD Negeri 45 the data field is validated first by two expert lecturers.

Before the media implemented or tested at fifth grade students in SD Negeri 45 Kalumbuk. The data was validated by two validators. The score of validator in media-based puzzle make a match is 3,55. It was categorized as very valid. Construction aspect with 3,65 categorized as very valid, and techniques aspect 3,55 categorized as very valid. In general, practicalities of media-based puzzle make a match was obtained by teacher 91 % as categorized very practical with the details of ease using 90% categorized as very practical, the effectiveness of time learning 100 % with categorized as very practical and has benefits 83 % with categorized as very practical. The practicalities was obtained by fourteen students that 93 % with categorized as very valid with the students’ interest aspect details 96% with categorized very practical,  using process aspect was 88 % with categorized as practical and students’ creativity improvement aspect was 95 % with categorized as practical. 

Thus, it can be concluded that learning of media-based puzzle make a match fill the practical and validity criterion. This Make A Match based puzzle media can be used by teachers in grade V of elementary schools as learning media. For other researchers, it is hoped to be able to develop Make A Match based puzzle media on other material, use the ADDIE model up to the evaluation stage, and be able to increase the reader's knowledge.
