DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENCE-BASED PRACTIUM GUIDELINES BASED ON INQUIRY ON STYLE FOR CLASS V STUDENTS OF SDN 20 KALUMBUK KURANJI PADANG

Abstrak

At schools, the learning process of science subject is inseparable from practicum. By doing a practicum, the learning process will proceed appropriately if the supporting factors are completed. One of the supporting factors is the practicum instructions, which means developing practicum based on the inquiry to maximize the students’ understanding and enrich the students’ experiences in case the students will be able to do a self-study within developing the practicum guidance. The approach of this research was a 3-D study. This approach consisted of three stages, that are defining, designing, and developing. Based on the research that had been done which take place at SDN 20 Kalumbuk Kuranji Padang, the data was obtained from two expert lecturers (validity test). Besides, the researcher also obtained the data from one teacher and nineteen students at grade fifth. Furthermore, researchers analyzed the validity and practicality. For the validity score of practical instructions, researchers obtained a general validation by the validator around 88.3% which the category is valid. Then the researcher obtained the practicality score of the practical instructions by the teacher around 93.89% with a very practical category. Besides, the researcher also obtained the data of practicality guidance from nineteen students around 92.05% with a very practical category. From these data, it can be concluded that the inquiry-based on the science practicum guidance on material, has proven to be valid and very practical. So that the inquiry-based science practicum instructions can be applied and used as alternative teaching materials for science learning practices in teaching material.
