Analisis Kesulitan Belajar dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Matematika Siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 25 Padang
Abstrak
This study aims to reveal learning difficulties and the factors that cause students to experience learning difficulties in solving math problems. The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 25 Padang with 32 research subjects. Data is collected by diagnostic tests given by the teacher, and interviews. Diagnostic tests to analyze students 'difficulties in solving math problems, and interviews are used to find out the factors that cause students' learning difficulties.
The method used is a qualitative data analysis method. The results show that the difficulties that many students experience are difficulties at the concept, principle, and algorithm stages. Concept difficulties experienced by students were 90.62%. While difficulties in the principle stage experienced by students were 59.37%. As well as difficulties in the algorithm experienced by students as much as 93.75%.
From the results of the study, at were suggested that researchers can give so that the difficulties experienced by students can be overcome by more active learning. Then the teacher should do an analysis of the difficulties experienced by students in answering questions so they can determine the right steps to overcome these difficulties.
