Supervisor: Dr. Muhammad Sahnan, M.PdAde Sri Madona, S.Pd, M.Pd           Education is one of the means to develop students' self potentials and skills through the learning process as a provision for themselves in living a life of society, nation and state.According to Sardjiyo (2011: 1.26) "IPS is a field of study that studies, examines, analyzes symptoms and social problems in society by reviewing from various aspects of life or a combination". In general, most students pay less attention to the teacher when the lesson is explained due to the use of methods that are less interesting and varied, where the teacher tends to use the lecture method. In connection with these problems, the researchers are interested in conducting an experimental study with the title "The Effect of Bamboo Dancing Learning Model on Social Studies Learning Outcomes of Class V Students on Theme 1 of Animal and Human Motion Organs at SDN 01 Koto Baru Dharmasraya".          This type of research is an experimental study with the research design is "posttest-only control design". The independent variable in this study is the bamboo dancing learning model while the dependent variable is the learning outcomes of social studies. The population of this study were all fifth grade students of SDN 01 Koto Baru Dharmasraya who were enrolled in the 2019/2020 school year. The sample in this study were 16 VA students and 19 VB students. The sampling technique is by random sampling. The data taken in this study are the results of students' social studies learning in the cognitive domain obtained through the final test in an objective form.          The average student final test results in the experimental class were 79,1 and control class 73,7. The results of the study showed the average value of the experimental class was higher than the control class. The hypothesis test obtained tcount > ttable where 1,70> 0,198, as evidenced by the significant level () = 0,05 then H1 is accepted.          Based on the research results obtained, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the learning model of bamboo dancing on social studies learning outcomes of class V students on the theme of 1 animal and human motion organs at SDN 01 Koto Baru Dharmasraya, so that the model can be applied and developed to achieve social studies learning outcomes which is more optimal in the school.
