Thesis Elementary School Teacher Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Bung Hatta University. Supervisor: Dr. Muhammad Sahnan, M.Pd.               Ade Sri Madona, S.Pd., M.Pd. Surahman (2017: pp. 1-13) states that "IPS is an integrative study of human life in various dimensions of space and time about all its activities. In another formulation, social studies is a study related to social life and its environment. "In general, teachers only use conventional learning. Conventional learning that is intended here is a learning model that is familiar and is often used by teachers in the learning process in class. To overcome these problems researchers will use the Two Stay Two Stray learning model in social studies subjects in class III Marapalam 23 Public Elementary School in Padang. Based on this, the researcher is interested in conducting an experimental study with the title "The Effect of Two Stay Two Stray Learning Model Against Class III Student Learning Outcomes in Social Studies Subjects of 23 State Elementary Schools Marapalam Padang".This type of research is an experimental research design "Posttest-Only Control Design". The independent variable in this study is the Two Stay Two Stray learning model while the dependent variable is the result of social studies learning. The population in this study were all third grade students of 23 Marapalam Padang Public Elementary School in 2018/2019 school year consisting of 2 classes. The sample in this study was 32 students in class III.A and 32 students in class III.B were 32 students. The technique in sampling is by Saturated Sampling. The data taken in this study are cognitive learning outcomes of cognitive domain students obtained through the final test in an objective form.The results showed the average value of the experimental class was higher than the control class (the experimental class averaged 75.4 and the control class an average value of 71.4). In statistical test the price of tcount> ttable (0.05; 62) (3.38> 1.99) with a level (α = 0.05) then the H1 hypothesis is accepted.From these data it can be concluded that the Two Stay Two Stray learning model has an effect on the learning outcomes of third grade students in social studies learning at SD Negeri 23 Marapalam Padang. Thus the Two Stay Two Stray learning model is expected to be used in the learning process to have a better influence on student learning outcomes.
