This study aims to produce a Student Worksheet based on a scientific approach to the thematic learning of caring for plants subthemes for grade II elementary school students. This research was conducted because during the implementation of learning there were still students who were confused in working on the questions in accordance with the steps that were submitted to the LKPD, students were also often confused when faced with questions that were different from the questions exemplified by the teacher and the process teaching and learning has not yet fully referred to the 2013 curriculum, where in the 2013 curriculum implemented five learning experiences with a scientific approach so that an effort is needed to make LKPD based on a scientific approach in accordance with the demands of the 2013 curriculum that presents material according to student needs and begins by linking the closest environment to student.

This type of research uses research or development (R&D) research. The subjects of trial in this study were the second grade students of SD N 05 Timbulun totaling 27 people. The type of data in this study is primary data. Primary data in question is data obatained directly from lectures, teacher and students taken through questionnaires testing validity and practicality and giving test results to students. The primary data, namely (1) the validation score of the lecturer (2) the score of the questionnaire response by the the teacher and students (3) the results of student learning test.

Based on the validation result from 5 validators, Student Worksheets Based on Scientific Approach that have been developed are in the very valid category with a percentage of 91,2% Pratical results from teacher and students responses to Student Worksheets Based on Scientific Approach are very pratical with a persentage value of 90,85%. Based on the effectiveness test that has been implemented through cognitive learning outcomes students show good results with a class average of 87,4 and classical completeness of 92,59%.

From these data it can be concluded that Student Worksheets Based on Scientific Approach developed gave proveen to be valid, practical and effective. So that this Student Worksheets Based on Scientific Approach can be applied and used an alternative teaching material to tach circumference and wide shape.
