Abstrak

Education is basically a conscious and planned effort to create an atmosphere of learning and learning process so that students actively develop their potential. Related to education, the teaching and learning process is a very fundamental process. According to Susanto (2014: 4) "learning is an activity carried out by a person intentionally in a conscious state to obtain a concept, understanding, or new knowledge so as to enable someone to change behavior that is relatively fixed both in thinking, feeling, and in acting". This success can be seen from the results of student learning.
The use of learning models in the learning process has significant significance. The learning model is a plan or concept to help students in the learning process and understand learning easily. By using models in learning, will help eliminate the boredom of students in receiving lessons. One way is to use the Take and Give learning model in social studies learning.
This type of research method is an experimental research method. Sugiyono (2012: 107) said that "experimental research can be interpreted as a research method used to look for the effect of certain treatments on others under controlled conditions".
The average student final test results in the experimental class 77.5 and 69.04 control class with the hypothesis test level obtained tcount> ttable where 2.488> 1.915, as evidenced by the significant level (a) = 0.05. This means that there are significant differences in the social learning outcomes of fifth grade students using the Take and Give models at SDN 03 Pandam Gadang.
Based on the research results obtained, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Take and Give Learning model on the learning outcomes of the fifth grade social studies at SDN 03 Pandam Gadang, so that the model can be applied and developed to achieve optimal social studies learning outcomes at the school.
