This study aimed to see differences in the results of the conventional learning (cermah, discussion, question and answer) and the type of learning with an active strategy Questions Students Have in learning biology class X SMA N 1 Koto XI Tarusan. This research is experimental research, the population in this study were all students of class X SMA N 1 Koto XI Tarusan. Sampling was done by using purposive sampling, samples were taken from two classes that average test scores of students in the first semester biology closer together, but it is also the same teacher, then done the draw, the draw results of class X-2 obtained as experimental class and class X-3 as a control class. Learning outcomes are observed cognitive test results are seen from the end of the study, where as affective and psychomotor domains using observation sheets were used as supporting data to determine the differences in learning outcomes. The data in this study is a final test results later on though with the t test. From the analysis of the data using the t test, t obtained is 11.27. When compared with the 1.67 t table t count > t table. (α 0.05), so the hypothesis are acceptable. From the study it can be concluded that the results of biological studies using active learning strategies Question Students Have types showed positive results, because the results of experimental study on a class higher than the control class, which results in cognitive learning in the experimental class (average of 79, 22), the control class (average 62.7), affective learning outcomes in the experimental class (average 75.5%), grade control (average 72%), as well as the psychomotor domain of learning outcomes in the classroom experiment (averaging 74%), grade control (average 62.7). Therefore, active learning strategies Question Students Have types can be applied in biology in high school by considering the time available.
