Abstract

The result interviews with teachers and the data show that daily test in learning writing skills, there are many student of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Sariak Kabupaten Padang Pariaman had low motivation in the learning process and learning outcomes have not reached the minimum completeness criteria 75. Therefore reasearchers interested in research improvment student motivation and learning outcomes trough modelling techniques in class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Sariak Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. This study is action research. This subject were junior high school student VIII.4 SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Sariak Kabupaten Padang Pariaman 30 people. The research was conducted in two cycles. The data collection in using the observation sheet, written test, and field recording. Based on the result of this study is to gets was 90,06 and increase 95,66 on cylcle two. And the average student leraning outcomes in cycle one was 67,26 through increased to 90,53 in cycle two. Can be concluded, that the modelling technique is got motivation and the result of study student at SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Sariak Kabupaten Padang Pariaman.
