PENGARUH PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN PENDIDIKAN MATEMATIKA REALISTIK TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 12PADANG TAHUN PELAJARAN 2012/2013

Abstrak

One of the factor that cause many students state junior high school 12 padang at class VIII was below 78 which are the limit of KKM were student lack an understanding of mathematical concept. for the solve this problem, one of the efforts to do was approach realistic mathematics education (PMR). PMR an approach that begins by giving the real world problems, altered in problem mathematics, in mathematics and find solutions to the world returned. purpose research is to see the development of students' understanding of mathematical concepts in class VIII state junior high school 12 Padang that apply PMR and to see understanding mathematical concepts students with PMR approach is better than the classes that implement conventional learning. In accordance with the foregoing, the type of research is experimental research with its population was eighth grade students of state junior high school 12 Padang that consists of six classes. The sample was selected using a sampling technique that was selected randome VIII7 class as VIII6 sebaggai experimental class and the control class. Development of students' understanding of mathematical concepts can be seen from a given quiz. From the analysis of the value of the quiz, it can be concluded that the development of students 'understanding of mathematical concepts that apply PMR better than the development of students' understanding of mathematical concepts by using conventional learning. The second end of the test data were normally distributed and homogeneous class, then the formula is used to test the hypothesis is the formula t. From the analysis of the values obtained by t test t = 1.77 and t table = 1.675. Thus the hypothesis can be accepted that understanding mathematical concepts students are learning Realistic Mathematics Education approach is better than the students who apply conventional learning.
