KEMAMPUAN MENULIS SURAT IZIN SISWA KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 3 KINALI KABUPATEN PASAMAN BARAT

ABSTRAK

The type of this research was a qualitative study by using descriptive method those are the research aim to find out the illustration a condition by the way of analysis, collection, classification and interpretation all data. This research used Theory some experts’ opinion. The object of this research was the student at class VII  SMPN 3 (Junior High School) Kinali of West Pasaman Regency. The collection of data was conducted by the manner 1) writing test for permission letter, 2) asking students to write the permission letter and 3) collecting the students’ sheet to be analyzed. Based on the analysis of data, 1) to be found that the ability of students at class 3 Kinali of West Pasaman Regency in the writing of letter format come into the classification was worse, being average of master about 36%, 2) the ability of students’ writing a permission letter at class 3 Kinali of West Pasaman Regency in using the formal of letter language especially used effective sentence come into the classification of more than enough by being average value 75,81%. Based on the analysis of data can be concluded that the student at class  3 Kinali of West Pasaman Regency was still lack of ability in writing the permission letter better.
