THE IMPROVEMENT OF STUDENTS’ LEARNING ACTIVITY GRADE X MIA 1 IN CIVIC EDUCATION THROUGH PROBLEM BASED LEARNING MODEL AT SMA NEGERI 2 BAYANG
Abstrak
The background of this research is caused by the low of students’ learning activity in participating Civic Education. This research was conducted to improve students’ learning activity in learning Civic Education using Problem Based Learning model. This research aims to describe the improvement of students’ learning activity in Civic Education learning by using Problem Based Learning model in SMA Negeri 2 Bayang. The type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in semester 2 of the 2019/2020 school year at SMA Negeri 2 Bayang. The subjects of this research were 34 students grade MIA 1. This research was conducted in 2 cycles and each cycle consisted of two meetings. The instrument used of this research were teacher activity observation sheets, student activity observation sheets, field notes and final cycle test results in the form of multiple choice questions in the form of 15 questions. Students’ activity in asking in cycle I was 24,9% increased to 76.5% in cycle II, activity in answering questions in cycle I was 17,6% increased to 72% in cycle II, activity in responding to questions in cycle I was 11,7% increased to 67.6% in the second cycle and complete student learning outcomes in the first cycle were 26 people (76.4%) to 31 people (91.1%) in the second cycle. Thus, it can be concluded that Civic Education learning by using Problem Based Learning model can improve students’ learning activities in grade X MIA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Bayang.
