Abstrak

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that cause students difficulty in expressing the question in biology class learning SMP Bunda Padang. This research is a descriptive study. Population of this study were all students of class VII SMP Bunda Padang listed in the academic year 2012/2013 amounted to 68 students. Samples studied is the entire population. Instruments used in the form of questionnaires. Before the questionnaire used, first test questionnaire conducted in SMP Kartika 1-7 Padang in the second semester of academic year 2012/2013 in class VII.2. Data from the trial to determine whether the questionnaire prepared questionnaire can be understood by the students or not, showed the percentage of 100% or very good and reliability of the questionnaire was tested by using the alpha formula, the result r11 = 0.8805 with very high category. The research data was analyzed with the formula and the formula assessment questionnaire item assessment of students. Results showed student interest indicators against 66.40% biology lesson, students' mastery of 64.84% biological subject matter, please 64.01% subject matter of biology, medical students 58.23%, 58.30% proficiency in speaking, taste 65.79% confident students, the teaching methods used 64.89% of teachers, teaching aids used 59.33% of teachers, students' relationships with teachers and behavioral 61.66% 77.76% teachers in teaching. Judging from the overall assessment questionnaire items was 64.12%. Judging from student assessment based on category level of difficulty that many students who are at a high difficulty category 57.35% of the other categories in a revealing question.
