Abstrak

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to compare the results of the cognitive aspects of learning biology students between cooperative learning model Think Pair Share with the Power Of Two in the class VII SMP Kartika 1-7 Padang Academic Year 2012/2013, and to know the results of studying biology student affective and psychomotor aspects . Type of research was experimental research design Randomized Control Group Posttest-Only Design. The population in this study were all students of Class VII SMP Kartika 1-7 Padang Academic Year 2012/2013, the total of populations were 267.The samples was done by purposive sampling technique, then do random and was selected class VII.5 as eksperimental I and VII.1 as experimental II. After analyzing the obtained by the average value of learning result the first experimental class was 74.65 and 70.22 in the experimental class II, with standard statistical test (α = 0.05) showed significant differences in learning result. Similarly, the affective appraisal experimental class I 83 and 82 in the experimental class II and class psychomotor assessment experiment I 84 and 82 in the experimental class II. The researcher can be concluded, that the cooperative learning model Think Pair Share better than using
