Abstract

 

This study aims to determine the relationship between motivation to learn the results of class X students of SMAN 1 Pasaman. This is a descriptive study with a population of tenth grade students of SMAN 1 Pasaman listed in the 2nd half-year 2012/2013. Diambilsecara sample random sampling. From the research shows that student learning outcomes are obtained with very good criterion of 21 or 33.3%, both criteria by 41 or 65.1%, sufficient criteria 1 or 1.6% and for the criteria less and very less amount of 0 or 0% of the price obtained by the calculation of correlation r = 0.610 with a strong correlation coefficient category. Subsequent calculation of the determinant of the coefficient indicates that the relationship between motivation to learn with the biology student learning outcomes at 37.21%. Means higher student motivation, student learning outcomes will be higher. Vice versa, the lower the students 'motivation, then the lower the students' learning outcomes. Based on the hypothesis test, t = 2.890 value obtained with the price table = 1.658 t> t table, and df = n-2 at α = 0.05 significance level the hypothesis H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected.
