Abstrak

ABSTRACT

 

The purpose of this study was to look at differences in biology student’s cognitive learning outcomes experimental class and the control class in eighth grade SMP N 32 Padang and to see the results of students studying biology in terms of affective and psychomotor aspects of experimental class and the control class . The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP N 32 Padang as 6 classes listed in the school year 2012/2013 . Sample grading done by purposive sampling , while to determine the experimental class and the control class by way of random sampling . In this study, the experimental class is VIII1 class and control class is the class VIII3 . At the end of the tests conducted found that the average value of the experimental class with a 78.90 percentage of student learning outcomes completeness 75.00 % and the average value of the control class with a percentage of 67.50 mastery 40.60 % of student learning outcomes . Statistical tests on the real level of 0.05 is obtained t > t table , the hypothesis H1 is accepted . Assessment of learning outcomes in the affective aspects of experimental class higher than the control class . The average value of the experimental class affective 77.91 % while the average value of 67.76 % in the control class as well as the average value of the experimental class psychomotor 77.13 % better than the control class 65.79 % . It can be concluded that , there are differences in student learning outcomes by using the application of cooperative learning model Numbered Head Together ( NHT ) and conventional pebelajaran in biology learning in class VIII SMP N 32 Padang .
