Development of Social Science Learning Module Based on Character Value of Environmental Responsibility and Care for Class III Students

Abstrak

Based on Law No. 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System in Article 3, which states that national education functions to develop capabilities and shape the character and civilization of a dignified nation in order to educate the nation's life. Quality character needs to be shaped and nurtured from an early age. One subject subject that can apply character education to students is taught in Social Sciences (IPS) subjects. In the formation of character values to students one of them can be applied through learning resources, namely learning modules based on character values of responsibility and care for the environment. The research approach used in this study is the 4-D approach. This approach consists of 4 stages of development, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate.
Based on the results of the data obtained by researchers at SDN 55 Air Pacah, Padang, namely validity data and practicality data. From the results of the validity of the researchers obtained an overall 3.64 results with a very valid category. From the aspect of education, the results obtained are 3.88 with a very valid category, the content aspect is 4.00 with a very valid category, the language aspect is 3.66 with a very valid category, the display aspect is 3.00 with a valid category and the presentation aspect is with the results of 3.66 with a very valid category.
From the results of the practicality of the teacher, researchers obtained 81% overall results with the practical category. From the aspect of ease of use 81% results obtained with the practical category, the aspect of feasibility obtained 80% results with the practical category and the benefit aspect obtained 81% results with the practical category.
Apart from the teacher, the researcher also obtained practicality data from 27 students. From the results of practicality students obtained 90.55% results with a very practical category. From the aspect of student interest the results obtained 93.20% with the category of very practical, from the aspect of its use the results obtained 90.50% with the category of very practical, and the aspect of the benefits obtained 87.96% with the category of very practical.
