Abstrak

Abstract

This research aims to know the result of studying Biology for students by using giving question and getting answer method and its influence to the result of studying biology for students than the use of conventional method. This research has been done on February 11, 2013 until March 4, 2013 in 2013/2014 school year 2nd semester with population all third year of junior high school students at SMPN 1 2x11 Enam Lingkung Padang Pariaman Regency. The type of this research is experimental research by using research design of randomized control-group posttest only design. The sample was taken by purposive sampling technique. Then, chosen randomly, class VIII8 has been chosen as experimental class and class VIII4 is as control class. The technique of data analysis in this research consists of normality test, homogeneity test and T-test. The results of this research showed the application of giving question and getting answer method gave positive effects to the result of studying Biology for students in cognitive aspect with average of experimental class is 77,76 and in control class is 62,92 ( = 0.05). Also, the assessment of affective and psychomotor aspect, in affective aspect with average of value of experimental class is 81, 48% and in control class is 73,20%. Psychomotor aspect with average of value of experimental class is 70,37% and control class 39,4%. From this research can be concluded that giving question and getting answer method has positive influence to the result of studying Biology  form the third year of junior school students at SMPN 1 2x11 Enam Lingkung Padang Pariaman Regency.
