Abstrak

This study aims to describe the Effect of Problem Learning Model on Learning Outcomes of Science Class V SDN 02 Padang Ganting, Tanah Datar. This research was conducted because of the low student learning outcomes and students did not respond to the instructions given by the teacher regarding teaching materials that have been delivered, especially in science lessons. Therefore it is necessary to have a learning model to facilitate students in understanding learning by using problem-based learning models. This type of research is experimental research using random sampling techniques, namely the sampling is done randomly. Each member of the population or unit in the population has the same opportunity to be elected. The test subjects in this study were 37 students in class V SDN Padang Ganting totaling 37 people. The results of this study indicate the average cognitive learning outcomes of fifth grade students in the experimental class 76.0 with 55% completeness and 64.1 control class with 25% completeness. From the results of the final test the average experimental class was higher than the control class. Students in the experimental class were more actively involved and only a few students were less active in learning. In the control class many students are less active because it is dominated by the teacher's role in explaining learning material Hypothesis test results or t-test with the price of t count compared with t table with dk = n1 + n2 - 2 = 20 + 16 - 2 = 34, at the level of confidence α = 0.05 and the probability of 0.975 obtained ttable = 2.03 and tcount = 2.53. This means that tcount> ttable where 2.53> 2.03 in other words H1 is accepted. From these data it can be concluded that the influence of problem based learning models on learning outcomes of Class V Natural Sciences SDN 02 Padang Ganting Keywords: Problem Based Learning Model, Science
